Ricardos Campos holds a PhD in Visual Anthropology. Currently, he is FCT Senior Researcher in the Interdisciplinary Centre of Social Sciences at the New University of Lisbon and Visiting Lecturer at the Open University in Lisbon, where he also teaches International Relations. Campos is member of the Editorial Board of the international journal Cadernos de Arte & Antropologia, is co-founder of the Luso-Brazilian Research Networ on Arts and Urban Interventions (RAIU). From the field of visual culture and anthropology, his research focuses on youth culture, urban art, digital media. He is author of high-impact books such as Introdução à cultura Visual. Abordagens teóricas e metodológicas (Mundos Sociais, 2013), Porque pintamos a cidade? Uma abordagem etnográfica ao graffiti urbano (Fim de Século, 2010), and co-editor of Uma cidade de Imagens (with Andrea Mubi Brighenti e Luciano Spinelli, Mundos Sociais, 2011), Popular & Visual Culture: Design, Circulation and Consumption (edited together with Clara Sarmento, Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2014) and, finallyt Transglobal Sounds. Music, indentity and migrant descendants, co-edited with Bloomsbury Academic Publishing, 2016).
